PATENTED TECHNOLOGY
ERT: Energy Reduction Technology
Most helmets are built for the rare, high-speed crash and do surprisingly little for the everyday knocks. Woolf does both. ERT is a patented layer of soft, advanced polymer pads that manage rotational as well as linear impact energy. Ordinary EPS foam stays rigid until a certain force is reached, then engages. ERT responds instantly, including at the lower-speed impacts linked to many concussions, which is exactly where standard foam does least. In independent lab testing it managed linear impact 30% better than EPS foam alone, and cut rotational force, widely believed to play a major role in brain injury, by 26%.
